Day Rehabilitation is suitable for patients who have established rehabilitation needs but do not need the support of inpatient medical or nursing care.

Inpatient Rehabilitation is suitable for patients who have a functional disability and need the support of a medical facility and nursing care, particularly following recent illness or surgery.
A rehabilitation assessor or specialist will assess you to ascertain your treatment requirements. This will ensure you have access to the most appropriate form of rehabilitation at each stage of your recovery.
Inpatients will need to bring the following:
- Night clothes and personal toiletries
- Comfortable day clothes and covered in shoes
- Toiletries
- Current medications
- X-rays or relevant scans
- Health Insurance details & Medicare Card
- Special equipment such as walking aides, splints or prosthesis
- Please DO bring your enthusiasm!

We encourage your family and friends to visit you between 10.00am and 8.30pm. As an inpatient, your rehabilitation is a structured and continual process, and your treatment takes priority during these times.
Referrals:
Referrals are accepted from medical specialists, general practitioners, allied health professionals and nursing staff. If you are an inpatient at another hospital, we can assess you to determine whether Sunnybank Private Hospital can meet your needs. If being referred from home, a doctor’s referral is necessary.
